Weather Out The Storm

Weather Out The Storm
I stand in the middle of a great division
Ripped limb from limb by the winds of indecision
Distrust, like a whirlwind swallows me
Too close to tell the forest from the trees
How do I fight the good fight?
When I can no longer tell who is right?
I must weather out the storm
I've seen it all before
I feel like I'm the judge in some sort of trial
Time to accept it or live in denial
Lines are drawn and facts are blurred with emotion
Where do I choose to place my dvotion?
Confusion reigns on all sides
There's no where left for me to hide
I must weather out the storm
I've seen it all before
Endured the winds through to the eye
Came out clean on the other side to face the light.

The Chase

The Chase
On the prowl I'm on the chase
Can't say I'm a stranger to this place
My gaze penetrates the gloom
While I slowly scan the room
All alone here with nothing to lose
Biding my time sippin' on some booze
In this world of my making
Everything is there for the taking
And I made my choice
Long before I heard your voice
{Chorus}
Chase it down (x3) deep inside
Give morality a place to hide
Your reality begins to slide
Trust in me you can confide
The desire that you just can't deny
We'll play the game and walk the line
If you're a hard sell I'll work overtime
You'll play you part and put up a 'fight'
Until I steal a kiss at midnight
You'll weken and forget the plan
And we'll leave together - hand in hand
{Pre-chorus}
Chase it down (x2)
Deep down/way down
{Chorus}
Chase it down (x3) deep inside
Give morality a place to hide
Your reality begins to slide
Trust in me you can confide
The desire that you just can't deny
{Bridge}
"I don't know what time you get off but I get off just looking at you.
Just gimmie a chance and I'll rock your world
Before the night is through
{Solo Section}
Consequence is no longer a factor
The next five minutes are all that matter
Morality is no longer a distraction
Focused only on your satisfaction
Tomorrow you may have regrets
But this encounter you'll never forget
{Pre-chorus}
{Outro}
The minute I had my way
The challenge went away
Your appeal was no longer real
I needed you until you needed me
I loved you until I had your love
Good bye.

Nobody Listened

Nobody Listened
A lone young man enters a scholarly institution
His sanity waylaid by a fabricated delusion
Embracing a myth over reality
He was prepared to unleash the fatalities
To awaken a world that just wouldn't listen
He fell through the cracks, while they turned their backs
Nobody Listened
In a long ago time in a far away place
One man believed in a master race
An Aryan standard of supremacy
Murder justified by idealistic fallacy
To those who opposed - nobody listened
While the free would denied millions died
Nobody Listened
Out of the black depths of infinity
A giant piece of debris in close proximity
Sighted by a solitary source
An astronomer would announce its course
To a world that just wouldn't listen
Doubt gives way to surprise
Our apathy our own demise
Nobody Listened

Broken Silence

Broken Silence
And so it starts again
Begins without an end
The silence is broken to the emptiness
I've come to call my friend
Ya I've heard this before
It gets too much to endure
Can't you see I will never escape
What I was always meant to ignore
Chorus
The silence is broken to the words
that scream inside my head
They twist and turn my thoughts
with all the things you said
So now I struggle to push myself
and live from day to day
They say in time the pain will heal
but it never fades away
When the silence is broken
Just be your greed self
and think of nobody else
There's no compromise to putting somebody's
life way up on the shelf
So continue your ways
They'll catch up to you someday
Maybe then you will see
It's not what you did but what you'd say
Chorus
The silence is broken to the words
that scream inside my head
They twist and turn my thoughts
with all the things you said
So now I struggle to push myself
and live from day to day
They say in time the pain will heal
but it never fades away
When the silence is broken

Lost

Lost
As I look back on my life
It don't take much to realize
That the one that came to be
Was not the one inside of me
Now I look deep down inside
To find the place where I would hide
Can't believe it took so long
To figure out that I was wrong
Why was I chose to live this fight
To embrace the wrong and ignore the right
I'm by myself, but not alone
Cuz emptiness is all I've known
If I had one more chance you'd see
I'd release my hold to set you free
Take back the things that I have done
Then you'd see I was your only one
But the past remains the same...

The Battle Has Just Begun
I'm the stupid fool who gets beaten down
And then peels himself off the ground
Battered, broken, bloody, black and blue
I still rise to face you
Some say that I won't ever learn
Because I refuse to turn
From a war that 'can't be won'
The Battle has just begun
I've been losing for so long now
I forget how it feels to win
No sense left in wondering how
I'll ever begin
I just keep chargin' that brick wall
Until the day it will surely fall
Or until my days are done
The Battle has just begun
Now years have passed and I still remain
Drawn like a moth to the flame
Stubbornly my whole existence
Has been one of resistance
Now my bones ache and fingers bleed
Still I haven't satisfied the need
For my thoughts and deeds to be one
The Battle has just begun

At the core of Omega A.D. are friendships kindled from youth, eventually spawning the power-trio of Oral (guitar/vocals),
Mark (drums) and brother Mike (bass).
Two independent CDs and more than 100 shows (including opening spots for The Killer Dwarfs, Helix, Nazareth and April Wine) follow – and still they have much to prove to their harshest critics: themselves.
